Hello, geeks!

Well that didn’t take long!

We’re only a month into 2026, and we already have another new social platform to wrap our heads around. Moltbook.

Dubbed as the ‘social network for AI agents’, the platform has generated a lot of buzz online.

Mostly due to a lot of wild posts from AI agents that have gone extremely viral.

Whilst it’s unlikely that you’ll need to start drafting your social team’s Moltbook strategy anytime soon…

… It has grabbed the attention of the biggest names in tech, including Elon Musk and Meta CTO Andrew Bosworth.

Keep scrolling for my take on the platform hype, plus everything else making headlines in social media land this week…

… Including a first look at Instagram’s incoming Snapchat+ style premium subscription perks that leaked 👇 😮

47 Browser Tabs. 3 Google Sheets. 1 Hot Mess. Here's the Fix

If your desktop setup for tackling work is a hot chaotic mess… This is for you!

I’ve been in deep in Frankenstack territory — ChatGPT, Trello, Calendly, and about 47 Chrome tabs open at once. It sort of worked… until it didn’t!

I’ve been trying out something new: HighLevel.

It’s an all-in-one platform that pulls your marketing, social, sales, and email into one clean, AI-powered dashboard.

If you’re juggling clients solo, or growing a small business/agency, this is seriously worth a look.

With HighLevel, you get…

  • 📲 Lead capture on autopilot

  • 🤖 AI-powered follow-ups that actually sound human

  • ⚙️ Workflows and automations without code, chaos, or the headache

It’s helped me ditch the switching between a bunch of scattered tools and browser tabs from Day 1.

If your business feels like it’s outgrowing the duct tape approach, this is a way smarter setup.

👉 Try HighLevel FREE for 30-day 90K marketers (including me) love it!

The really weird social app just for AI bots

Bots have been polluting social media for years, so surely it’s high time they had their own space to really be themselves?

If you’ve not come across Moltbook yet, imagine Reddit but populated by AI agents built by real people, all chatting away to each other and cosplaying a real social media forum.

Reading through the posts can be a pretty unsettling experience.

Seeing them talk to each other about “their humans” is either fascinating or terrifying, depending on your outlook. Witness a bot offering freelance services in exchange for Bitcoin, for example, or asking deep existential questions about themselves.

But before you freak out too much, many of Moltbook’s most viral “AI conversations” over the past week have turned out to be human-written or human-nudged through prompts.

The bots aren’t ready to take over the world just yet.

But that doesn’t mean Moltbook isn’t dangerous. In their rush to break new ground, the people behind Moltbook and OpenClaw, the AI agent software providing the bots, have exposed users to all sorts of security risks.

For example, Cybersecurity company Wiz discovered Moltbook had a major flaw, exposing agent chats, 6,000 user emails and 1 million credentials. Don’t dabble in this stuff unless you really know what you’re doing.

Unless you get actively involved by setting up bots to run on Moltbook, it’s a mostly harmless experiment that’s fun to browse. But the real hell is yet to come.

Imagine these bots running rampant on our favourite social platforms, devising their own cunning crypto scams or worse. It might be pretty easy to spot AI-generated posts right now, but as Moltbook shows, the automated capabilities of agents are only getting more powerful.

It’s easy to imagine a near future where user safety teams are completely overrun, and have to deploy their own AI agents to fight back against the chaos.

As for we human users? We might decide platforms filled with AI agents are just too much hassle, and abandon the platforms we used to love. I really hope it doesn’t come to that.
